EORTC wants here by to acknowledge his contribution to the treatment of so many patients around the world who benefited from his work . His visionary approach to cancer treatment and his commitment to cancer clinical research notably has greatly served advances in the field of methodology. Under his leadership, EORTC was able to initiate the upgrade of the clinical research infrastructure based at the EORTC Data Center and launch the first consensus conference on quality control procedures.
